WW2 S Type wet batteries (Empty)
In all the years I have been involved in militaria and WW2 signals equipment I have only every found ons S Cell battery, and that is in my collection! My surprise on finding these still in situ after the passing of 70 years was considerable I can tell you!
They have Admiralty pattern labels and but are the same as the Army S Sell I have in all other respects. Corks are missing.
These batteries were used in many items, from Field Telephones to Remote Control Units.
