Cap Comforter WW2 dated

Wool cap comforter. Issued to every soldier for use in cold weather, can also be used as a scarf. Famously used by the commando's in their early raids.

These caps are genuine examples and in unissued condition. Dates and colours vary (wool items were often made for the forces by patriotic groups such as the Women's Institute (WI's even made camoflage nets!), local sewing circles, Forces 'Comforts' groups, The Red Cross etc.-see our article on the main web site about woollen gloves for more information, )
