Housewife sewing kit-mens

These sewing kits were issued to soldiers and RAF personnel (the RN had a blue one) on issue of kit. They were commonly referred to as 'Housewives' or 'Hussifs' by the forces.

The kit comes in its correct cover and contains a piece of spare green material (for patching), needles (may be in packet or loose), thimble, blue/grey wool for darning socks, battledress plastic buttons, shirt plastic buttons. However please note that contents types may vary and may differ from the photograph, although the items will be as listed Please note no is cotton included. 

Condition is generally used but good and always undated (sometimes dates on needles packets, I have only ever seen about 3 dated housewive's).
