Paratroopers 1942 pattern oversmock worn over equipment during the jump to prevent parachute rigging lines fouling on equipment. Usually discarded on landing. This example is the standard 1942 pattern with issue date 1942 (year of introduction!), label is in the WW2 not post war location. Unissued condition, this is another one from the batch that has one zip side longer than the other (see photo) as manufactured, probably first production, 100% genuine.
