Puttees Short Post WW2, WW2 pattern

Wool Puttees were used by the British Army in various theatres of war during WW2 including the Middle Wast and the Far East. They carried on into service off and on alongside the 37 pattern anklet and can be seen being used in photographs of troops in the Falklands during the 1982 conflict. The lessons learned in the Falklands caused new boots to be introduced and the Puttee was phased out.

These examples are probably postwar but we haven't found any dates so could be earlier. Being wool and over two decades old odd moth nips are unavoidable but there is nothign serious and they are very good overall.
