Ration Book-food

We are very pleased with this reproduction. We have succeeded in getting the book reproduced as it would have been after registration but before any shopping had been done. Where necessary sections and pages have been marked to be removed by the owner so it looks as it would have done when in use. (These sections had to be included due to the print process and to keep cost down).

It should be noted that ration book design and method of use changed as the war progressed in order to have some deterrent against forging by black marketeers or German agents (a German spy would not last long if he could not buy food, unless perhaps he ate at a Cafe or Restaraunt everyday, not very practical if you want to photograph aircraft and ships!)
